The Body Worlds Experience - Go see it!
Have you been to see the Body Worlds exhibition? After ten years or more since my first experience, I recently visited again, and all I can say is ‘wow!’
In the past, some people have regarded the exhibition as being somewhat controversial, but I think this is really down to our fear of the unknown. Anatomy and physiology may not come easy to some, but how would doctors, health professionals, therapists (even fitness and lifestyle coaches…) be able to help you keep your health in check?
This time the organisers have added a fresh dimension. It has resulted in what I consider to be the best health and well-being learning experience that you will currently encounter. It’s not just for the health professionals, it’s for everyone.
It doesn’t involve books. It doesn’t involve learning names and information by rote. It is a pure visual and auditory learning experience. By going along, you will see for yourself how amazing the human body is, and how the many systems come together to help you move, live and breathe.
I wish I had this experience years ago when I was studying for my own GCSEs and A-level in biology. It would have broken up some of the monotony of scouring the textbooks.
If you have children going through a similar learning period, they will love it!
For adults, the experience may even help you consider how you look after your body in the future; from how you consider what food and drink you consume; what exercise and movement you undertake, to the importance of balancing mental and emotional well-being.

Well done to the Body Worlds team for putting such an exemplary display together. If I was prime minister of the UK I would ensure everyone got a chance to visit this exhibition!
